EOD-, EOR-Exercises Wildflecken
Since 1998 there have been 38 international EOD- and EOR-exercises on the range in Wildflecken, Germany. Organised by the Dutch, participators from Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Danmark, Norway, Spain and Italy had the possibility to train. Next to EOD- and EOR-specialists also search-, medic- and K-9 teams had to perform tasks they were trained for.
Tasks they had to deal with, were:
- Reconnaissance and disposal of exlosives and ordnance in roads and in their vicinity;
- Reconnaissance and disposal of ordnance after reports from locals or own troops;
- Reconnaissance and clearance of trenches, abbandoned positions, houses and installations;
- Reconnaissance, identification, and disposal of unknown ordnance;
- Clearance of minefields;
- Rescue wounded person(s)out of a minefields;
- Dealing with improvised explosive devices;
- Identification, clasification with explosive items in a weapon collection point;
- Search for explosives by K-9 sections;
