History
Foundation:
The EOD-Thor Facilty Center is founded in 2008 by a Dutch EOD-Specialist who has been operating in the Netherlands and who did tours in Former Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Turkey. Around this period a personal badge was developed. This badge is now the symbol of the EOD-Thor Facility Center.
EOD-Thor badge:
The badge is build up with the following significance:
- A Viking is a good representative for a North European ;
- The Shield with the sign of the bomb, represents protection, which stands for safety rules;
Within EOD-procedures they always have two attack possibilities.
- An Axe represents the primary method of attack;
- A Sword represents the secundary method of attack.
